Pre-release brand website01 /The context
What needed
to work better.
A specialized catalog needs clear product information and a careful documentation process. Brand presentation, purchaser intake, and the distinction between available and pending information all matter.
02 /What was built
- Custom responsive brand design using approved owl and vial artwork.
- A catalog with six materials, ten vial options, and labels that respond to the selected amount.
- An invoice-request workflow and a batch-document archive designed for original reports.
03 /The thinking
Catalog browsing leads to a reviewed invoice request. Product labels change with the selected amount, while batch documentation has its own place in the site.
04 /The decisions
Documentation is the product surface
For a specialised catalog, the product information is the thing being evaluated. The build treats documentation as the primary interface rather than as supporting text under a photograph.
The invoice request replaces the checkout
A pre-release catalog does not need a cart. An invoice-request flow matches how the buying actually happens and avoids building a purchase path that would have to be explained away.
Dormant code is not presented as current
An earlier shopping-cart implementation exists in the repository and is deliberately not described as part of the site. A portfolio that counts abandoned code as features is a portfolio nobody can trust.
05 /Where it fits
The design and workflow ideas are relevant to specialized catalogs, B2B inquiries, and businesses where an order needs review before it proceeds.
Explore the service06 /Questions
Is this a storefront?
No. It is a pre-release catalog and brand site with an invoice-request process, plus a separate internal interface for running the operation.
Why is there no pricing on the public site?
Because the buying process is a conversation at this stage, and a published price implies a checkout that does not exist.
